A short video on ash gourd juice: https://youtu.be/PL02FzhEwDE

Ash gourd juice is full of ‘pranas’ as per ayurvedic sciences. Its benefits have been described in charak samhita & ashtanga hridaya samhita.
It is low in calories, fat & protein but is rich in vitamins, minerals, dietary fibres & antioxidants. It contains 96% water.
It is a great detoxifying, immunity booster drink and it improves our metabolism rate. It is good for heart patients, diabetics & even for kidney patients. It even rejuvenates our nervous system. These are a few of its humongous benefits.
So why not include this juice in our daily routine. Consume this juice empty stomach as first thing in the morning preferably without adding anything to it. Do not consume anything(not even water) else for the next 1 hour atleast. Do not consume more than 200ml of this juice per person per day.
As it has a very very mild taste, you may add a pinch of black pepper, black salt and a few drops of lemon juice to it to enhance its flavour incase you are unable to consume it without adding anything.
As per ayurveda it is of ‘cool taaseer’, so those having problems of cough cold, asthma or sinusitis need to add black pepper or honey to reduce its coolness.
